WHAT IS
CMYK?
CMYK was born from the idea of combining traditional Ukrainian music with experimental electronics.
Today, it is a cultural project and a music label.
small but significant
As a result of prolonged colonial influence, Ukrainians have largely lost a living connection with traditional folk music. Because of this, tradition is often perceived as a static object of contemplation—something difficult to approach or engage with without prior background.
We strive to break down this barrier and create an inclusive space for an initial encounter with traditional culture—without simplifying or distorting it.
We host bowed-string raves, concerts, and interdisciplinary artistic collaborations, while also developing our own educational program.
In doing so, we shape a community around heritage and make authentic culture more visible in the modern urban environment.
